Basic Dysrhythmia Course:
This 12 hour course if provided in four 3 hour time frames. We cover Sinus rhythms, atrial rhythms, ventricular dysrhythmias and heart blocks.
12 Lead EKG Interpretation:
This 3 hour course discusses ST Elevation, depression and Q waves. It also provides you with information on how to detemine axis deviations and bundle branch blocks. Knowing how to determine if your patient is having a "STEMI" is crucial in today's fast-paced medical arena.
Cardiac and Pulmonary Assessment:
These courses can be done together or separately. Needs will be assessed upon your request. The class can be modified to serve the beginner or the expert.
Codifying Code Blue Teams:
This lecture is Laura's passion. She has developed a CAB - Cardiac Arrest Assignment Board to present her suggesstions on how to develop successful code blue teams. Code Blue tems usually do not function everyday. We know as adult learners that what we don't use, we lose. This lecture will inspire and instruct you and your team on how to create and sustain functional code blue and rapid response teams.
Creating and Sustaining Healthy Work Environments:
AACN - The American Association of Critical Care Nurses developed six strategies on how to make our work environments more healthy. Laura has been a member and board member of the local chapter for several years and strongly supports this initiative to create and sustain healthy work environments. This lecture honors and supports the noble profession of nursing.
